Today's handkerchief is blank. It was the first time in 40 days I didn't pick up a needle. I'm going to try not to let it happen again, but sometimes other things take priority.
Here is yesterday's handkerchief.
Reconciling the immensity of the world with the intimacy of personal experience.
RULES:
1. I will make one handkerchief, everyday, for one year.
2. I will begin on the Autumn Equinox, September 22, 2008 and end on September 21, 2009.
3. I will embroider two motifs on each handkerchief:
a. A "monogram" mined from news sources, advertisements, internet, or other daily encounters
b. Text or image relevant to each particular day.
4. The deadline to complete this daily task is midnight.
5. Unfinished handkerchiefs will remain unfinished.
