Visual Flight Rules Corridor
Searchers sift through the waters of the Hudson after a fatal crash between a small plane and helicopter. The area over the Hudson River is a VFR Corridor where pilots rely solely on their own visuals and not an air traffic controller to avoid other aircraft. There were 9 fatalities in the collision.
